Safety & Inspection
Warehouse and storage areas can be dangerous places.

Will your racking pass a safety inspection?

Are you taking the necessary steps to make sure you are meeting your health and safety liabilities?

If you have Dexion Speedlock or Impex racking then you should only fit Dexion manufactured replacement parts. If you fit "imitation" products your whole installation will not meet SEMA health and safety standards.

Dexion products are only available from Dexion distributors.

Make sure that you can show your insurers or health and safety inspectors that your racking has been regularly checked, by a specialist and has been kept in good repair with genuine parts.

Pallet racking and shelving safety inspections are available from Stodec Products.
These surveys can be carried out on an annual or twice yearly basis.

Each inspection is carried out by an experienced engineer to SEMA (Storage
Equipment Manufacturers Association) standards. Specific points looked for
include:

Correct location of beams, including location of beam locks in uprights.

Excessive deflection of beams, due to current or past overloading.

Damaged, incorrectly adjusted or overloaded shelves.

Signs of damage to the installation due to impact by handling or other equipment.

Incorrect loading and positioning of pallets within pallet locations

Use of inappropriate or damaged pallets

Incorrect use of accessories supplied with the racking or shelving

Missing or loose fixing bolts
