The all new Snooper S270 Sapphire Plus is far more than an ordinary speed camera device. Of course it incorporates the best street level mapping available using Navteq technology plus Snooper's award winning speed camera location technology. It also boasts an MP3 and MP4 player and a handy photo viewer in an ultra-compact unit small enough to fit in your pocket.
Speed Camera Detection
No one likes speed cameras but they are here to stay and rest assured, there will be more. Snooper Sapphire Plus keeps you more aware of the stretch of road you are on. It lets you know the speed limit. It alerts you to all fixed cameras including the new MCS or "The Daddy" as it is unaffectionately known. Some cameras are calibrated to activate even if you are only driving a couple of miles an hour faster than the limit. One flash and there are at least three points on your license. It only takes a couple of brief lapses in concentration and you could be facing a ban.

Auto Ranging
There is no need to set the detection range of Sapphire Plus, as it automatically calculates the distance required depending on the speed limit. For instance it will alert you 200 meters in advance in a 30mph zone and up to 500 meters in a 70mph zone.
Smart Mute
Not only does it have Auto ranging but the Sapphire Plus also recognises your speed. If you are under the speed limit as you approach a speed camera or high risk zone it will only give you a visual alert. Of course if you are over the speed limit you will get a full audible alert including voice warnings.
